Vampire Facial® Procedure
The vampire facial treatment uses a micro-needling device to create multiple micro-punctures –both driving the isolated growth factors into the skin & creating the stimulus for tightening and rejuvenation of the collagen of the face.
This treatment creates an overall improvement to skin texture and tone. It can also help reduce scars (including acne scars), correct hyperpigmentation, tighten lax skin, smooth fine lines, and minimize the appearance of large pores.
Instead of the traditional method of drawing your blood and spinning it down to pull out your plasma, we at Ageless Expressions have chosen to use exosomes instead to provide you the best results. Exosomes contain growth factors, like the plasma in your blood, but deliver seven times the growth factors than our plasma.
Microneedling with Exosomes isn’t only beneficial for the skin — it may also be used for stimulating natural hair growth as its potent growth factors nourish every hair follicle to:
- Reduce hair shedding or hair loss
- Promote hair restoration
- Hydrate the scalp
- Nourish the scalp from deep within
- Improve hair growth cycle
- Leave your hair looking shinier, fuller, and softer
Vampire Procedure
First, the physician conducts a consultation to go over your goals and make sure this is the best treatment for you.
Second, your physician will clean and numb the treatment area, ensuring a safe and comfortable treatment. The numbing cream will absorb into your skin over about an hour.
Third, a handpiece with multiple small needles at a specific depth chosen by your physician will be used to puncture the skin to create small “wounds” in order to stimulate healing and repair in the treatment area.
Fourth, will be to coat and soak the treatment area with the exosomes. These growth factors then activate multipotent stem cells already in the skin (tricking them into “thinking” there’s been an injury and new younger tissue should be generated).
How does it look after?
Skin typically will show pinprick bleeding with potential bruising. The skin will also be bright red which will typically last 48-72 hours, up to 5 days if your skin is already sensitive. Minimal swelling can occur. After care instructions will be given and reviewed in office.
How often should I treat?
We start you off with a series of 3 treatments that we will space 4-6 weeks apart. After that we recommend a maintenance treatment once every 6 months to a year.
